This was by far the most physically demanding endeavor of my life.
Spending a year gaining and maintaining the weight, strength and stamina necessary to perform was only the beginning. The following 8 months were devoted to a rigorous training schedule of weight training, martial arts and wrestling school that was almost more than I could bear.
Finally after 3 years of wrestling including 12 broken bones and 4 dislocations, I was forced to retire due to a brain injury. Even after all of this, I miss it every day. Thus far I've found nothing to replace the roar of the crowd in the arena, the blinding lights over head, and the utter silence and stillness in the ring amidst all the din.
-It was the best 3 years of my life.
