And the Lord said, “Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you, that he may sift you as wheat.
But I have prayed for you, that your faith should not fail; and when you have returned to Me,
strengthen your brethren.”-Luke 22:31-32
Many years ago, I left the ministry of Christ disappointed, bitter, and disillusioned. Although ordained
and anointed to His work I swore to never return. After a return to addiction I found recovery in the
secular
12 step programs. I became a very popular speaker and teacher within those
programs which led
to an
opportunity to enter the entertainment business. ('Simon, Simon! Indeed, Satan has asked for you,')
I spent a better than a decade chasing fame and fortune in the entertainment industry
first as a radio DJ,
then as a pro-wrestler, then a writer, and finally as an actor. On this journey the enemy's plan was
to
lead me further and further from the Lord, ('that he may sift you as wheat'). But...
God's plan was much different ('But I prayed that your faith would not fail'). While I was endeavoring
different pursuits as an entertainer I was obtaining valuable training to become a more effective minister
and leader.('and when you have return to Me, strengthen your brethren.')
Now I have returned
to Him.
And through the power of the Holy Ghost I am offered the opportunity to lead His lost children home.
